The vines of some of the vineyards on the estate are more than 25 years old.
Our vineyards are located in a hilly area, on the south-east facing Sienese slope of the Municipality of Montalcino.
Here the grapes ripen fully and acquire the pleasant aromas and flavours they convey to our wines thanks to the good composition of the soil and the very favourable microclimate.
In our estate we have not changed the production process as we work respecting century-old traditions.
The entire estate is owned by the “Società di Esecutori di Pie Disposizioni” of Siena (Society of Benevolent Works).
It is composed of 8 hectares of olive groves and 10 hectares of vineyards. Half of the latter are registered for the production of Brunello di Montalcino wine.
The rest of the land is cultivated with herbaceous plants and is also used for livestock breeding.
The integration of these activities makes it possible for us to reduce to a minimum the use of fertilisers and chemical products, and thus offer healthy, wholesome and superior products.
One of the last vineyards planted on the Abbadia Ardenga estate, where we have used the most modern technology and applied state-of-the-art research.
